Prior to submit your manuscript, check if you fullfil all the requirements using this checklist.
Articles should be accompanied by a cover letter addressed to the Main Editor, in which the authors submit the manuscript for publication, specifying that it is a work not previously published, not sent to another jounal simultaneously and that all authors agree, both with its content, and with the transfer of publication rights to the Latin American Potato Journal. In addition, they should include the Excel format that can be downloaded in the Instructions for Authors section.
The Editor will confirm the receipt of the manuscripts received, informing the authors about the acceptance of the evaluation, or about the suggestions to include them in this process.
Once accepted, they will be sent to peer review experts, who will recommend to the Publication Committee their publication or rejection, annexing the respective suggestions that may be methodological, content or style. These suggestions will be sent to the authors, so they can make the suggested adjustments. In case of disagreement, the authors will express their concepts to the editor, and will send them to a second or third expert and, with the new concept, the Publications Committee will make a final decision that will be communicated in due course to the authors.
In case of accepting the manuscript for publication, the authors will only keep the author's rights, since the rights of the publication will be property of the Latin American Potato Journal, so they cannot be partially or totally reproduced without a written permission from the editor. The authors will yield to the Latin American Potato Association (ALAP), the exclusive rights of reproduction, distribution, translation and public communication of your work by any printed, audiovisual or electronic means.
The works that appear in the magazine are the sole responsibility of the authors and do not represent the thoughts of the Editor, or the Latin American Potato Journal or the Latin American Potato Association (ALAP).
