The Latin American Potato Journal is a semi-annual scientific publication edited by the Latin American Potato Association (ALAP, for its Spanish acronym). The journal publishes original papers, reflection articles, review articles and short communications on different areas related to potato crop. These articles can be written in Spanish, Portuguese and/or English. Simultaneous or parallel submission to other journals is not allowed. The articles are reviewed by external international double-blind peers. Additionally, the journal publishes opinion articles which promote the dissemination of science and constitute a contribution to the scientific knowledge in potato crop.
The journal promotes permanent, free and unrestricted access to scientific and academic content with the aim of promoting accessibility and visibility of high impact scientific research on issues related to potato crop at the national and international level in diverse areas like biotechnology, genomics, physiology, nutrition and crop fertilization, genetics and plant breeding, entomology, plant pathology, integrated plant protection, agroecology, malherbology, geomatics, soil, water and irrigation, post-harvest and agro-industrialization, rural and agribusiness development, agricultural economics and marketing of agricultural products.
